Administrative building DOCK IN FOUR, Prague

Praha

Details

DOCK in four is already the fourth subsequent phase of the construction of a unique Prague project DOCK IN, which in its final form will offer not only office spaces and a peaceful housing area but also an ideal place for relaxation near the city centre. DOCK 04 is designed as an administrative complex of three buildings (J2.2, J4, J5) with three shared underground floors and the option of horizontal and vertical division into individually rentable units. The whole building is accessible from both the outer and inner side of the compound. The underground space is meant primarily for garages and technical facilities. On the ground floor there is space for rental units which can be used for restaurants, shops and services. The above-ground floors will be used as office spaces. Rental units on the 4th and 7th floor in building J2.2 have outer terraces. Buildings J4 and J5 have terraces on the northern sloping facade on every floor except for the ground floor. Along the southern edge of the area there is a seven-storey building J2.2 with bent facade, which is composed of horizontal window sills of the ventilated ceramic facade in black and white combination. Protruded parts of some of the floors will be from the bottom side covered by a hanging ceiling from red and black perforated metal sheets. Lower northern facade is made partially from light coloured profiled metal sheet and partially from ventilated ceramic facade. There is a light glass perimeter cladding with openable elements in between the window sills.  The perimeter cladding in the first above-ground floor is made from glass and transparent and non-transparent parts which are made from black varnished glass. Inner buildings J4 and J5, oriented perpendicularly to building J2.2, are positioned in the northern sector. Both of these buildings have six above-ground floors and are cut off from the northern side which creates an effect of distance from the neighbouring residential areas. These oblique areas highlight the fire escape staircases which are positioned there. Other oblique areas are covered with climbing plants which grow out of flowerpots along the edges of the terraces. Buildings J4 and J5 are on the 3rd and 6th floor connected with building J2.2 by a tunnel with completely glass facades with a combination of transparent and non-transparent parts. Perimeter edge, which goes from the base of the northern sloping facade to the 6th above-ground floor, will be lined by a grey coloured ledge.
