Opening ceremony of the new depository of the Moravian Library in Brno

The object is designed by the Adam Rujbr Architects company and consists of two underground and four above-ground storeys. Just a part of the original building has been kept and reconstructed, mostly it is a new building. The technologies were installed to provide an accurate temperature and humidity according to the corresponding standards for archiving and are supported by the six heat pumps. The new premises provide the storage space for the book collection for the next 40 years. The collection increases by 150 books per day, which equals 1km of books to store per year.
