GEMO Family Day Resonated with Solidarity for Our Colleague’s Sick Daughter

GEMO demonstrated that we know how to have fun together. This was confirmed by the fifth GEMO Family Day, which took place on Saturday June 1 2024, in both outdoor and indoor areas of the OMEGA Sports Center. Visitors, including GEMO colleagues and their families, once again enjoyed an afternoon full of socializing, interesting activities, music, and great food and drinks prepared by the team at NH Collection Olomouc Congress Hotel. There was simply something for all age groups.

The event, hosted by actress and singer Yvetta Blanarovičová, was opened with a welcoming speech by GEMO shareholder Ing. Mgr. Jana Složilová. This was followed by lively entertainment led by the legendary band Maxim Turbulenc. The children, as well as the adults, could test their skills in the play zone, which featured a balloon show, face painting, and virtual reality games. Bouncy castles and go-karting are activities that children never seem to get tired of.

The second part of the afternoon took place on the main stage, colleagues celebrating milestones were congratulated, accompanied by the presentation of gifts and a raffle with GEMO-themed prizes.

This year’s GEMO Family Day was held in the spirit of solidarity with little Barunka, the daughter of one of our colleagues, who is battling a serious illness. The company’s shareholders presented a donation check on behalf of GEMO for 100,000 CZK. It was clear that the spirit of collegiality at GEMO is not just a concept, and the call to support Barunka, who suffers from Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, was not in vain. The fundraising account soon received an additional 60,000 CZK from small donors. The afternoon culminated with a performance by the well-known band Slza, whose rhythms got everyone dancing for the rest of the event.
