“To make it easier for them” is the motto of the „Dům pro Julii“ children’s hospice, whose activities GEMO has decided to support. Through our colleagues working on the construction of the Dornych multifunctional complex in Brno, we presented a cheque for 150,000 CZK.

“The financial donation will be used to cover approximately two months of electricity costs, which are essential for the operation of „Dům pro Julii“, as well as to ensure the comfort of the entire care team when looking after our clients and their families. The operation of the hospice is financially demanding, so we are grateful for every donation that can be used for these purposes. Once again, a big thank you,” said Magdaléna Mikšíková, who received the cheque on behalf of the hospice.

During the visit, colleagues had the opportunity to tour the newly built facilities and learn more about the organisation’s work. The hospice plans to gradually expand its services. In addition to inpatient and home care for child clients, two rooms fully equipped with medical services are expected to be created in the future.

„Dům pro Julii“ is a non-profit organisation that helps families with seriously ill children. It is the first children’s hospice of its kind in the Czech Republic, with operations starting in August last year. GEMO contributed to its construction in 2022 by providing monolithic structures.
