On 6th November 2024, representatives from our company attended the prestigious awards ceremony for the Czech Leaders Awards at the Microsoft headquarters in Prague, leaving with more than just a memorable experience. GEMO was honoured with another significant trophy, affirming its vital role as an employer in the region.

The Czech Leaders Awards (OCL) aims to highlight and recognise the best Czech companies that contribute to the growth and stability of the national economy. Companies nominated for the awards must have an annual turnover exceeding 200 million CZK and employ at least 50 people. The competition is professionally endorsed by CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau, which uses the CRIBIS Index to assess financial stability and economic performance. This year, in the eighth edition of the awards, the jury selected winners from 142 finalists, including many family-owned businesses and exporters.

In the Olomouc region, GEMO a.s. secured second place, establishing itself as a key player in the sector, contributing to the region’s infrastructural development and supporting the local economy. The first place was awarded to DSL Food s.r.o., a company operating in the food industry, while the third position was claimed by KARAT Software a.s., which provides innovative software solutions.

“This award reflects the stability, transparency, and responsible approach of our company towards both our business partners and employees. This achievement is the result of the daily honest work of all of us, and I would like to thank all our employees for their contribution to building the successful and proud GEMO company,” commented Ing. Mgr. Jana Složilová, Chief Financial Officer and shareholder of GEMO, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.

This competition is particularly significant as it honours purely Czech businesses that form the backbone of the national economy and are important employers. These awards recognise their economic stability, social responsibility, and ability to thrive even in challenging market conditions. The competition thus comprehensively assesses not only financial performance but also the long-term contribution to the regions and the Czech economy as a whole.
