GEMO Becomes General Partner of the Olomouc (o)žije Festival for the Third Time

Once again, GEMO has become the general partner of the Olomouc (o)žije festival, the largest street music and arts festival in the Czech Republic. The sixth year of this popular cultural event took place from June 17th to 20th, transforming the historic center of Olomouc into a vibrant open-air stage. Offering a rich program filled with music, dance, theater, art, and various accompanying activities, the festival catered to visitors of all generations. As is tradition, it attracted thousands of people who enjoyed not only the cultural experiences but also a diverse gastronomic selection, social gatherings, and the unique atmosphere flowing through the city streets.

GEMO Zone Entertained Both Children and Adults

During the main festival day, the traditional GEMO Zone was set up on Horní náměstí, offering entertainment throughout Saturday for company employees, their families, and the general public. Employees received vouchers for free refreshments, while children enjoyed a variety of popular activities.

The large-format Tetris building set once again sparked great interest, becoming one of the most sought-after attractions of the day. Visitors were also drawn to the game of Jenga, face painting, and the traditional GEMO balloons, which brightened up the entire city center during the festival.

Although the initial turnout was slightly affected by tropical temperatures, the square gradually filled up as the evening approached. Families with children, groups of friends, and other visitors headed to the city center to soak in the unique festival atmosphere.

Chill-out Zone, ‘GEMO Míchačky’ Bar, and the Popular Silent Disco

GEMO also supported the festival activities on Dolní náměstí providing a welcoming chill-out zone with seating and activities for kids. From the comfort of deckchairs, visitors could watch cultural performances and take a relaxing break between individual concerts.

The “GEMO Míchačky” (GEMO Mixers) bar ran all day, offering summer refreshments including the popular local drink “Beton” (Becherovka and tonic). The evening program culminated in the traditional GEMO Silent Disco, allowing visitors to enjoy music through wireless headphones right in the heart of the festival action.

This unconventional format was highly popular again this year, proving that the Olomouc (o)žije festival successfully delivers an engaging program for all generations.
