GEMO OLOMOUC, spol. s r.o. – sponsor of the “Šternberk Charity Benefit Concert”

On Friday 28 September 2007 at 5 p.m. the Šternberk Charity held a benefit concert at the Šternberk Castle. The proceeds from the event are to be used to purchase a passenger car for the Blossom Day Care Centre (DENNÍ POBYT ROZKVĚT), a family-type facility for the mentally and physically handicapped.

The Blossom Day Care Centre is a facility for children and young individuals with mental and physical handicaps. The goal of the centre is to provide these children certain services that are regularly available to the healthy population and certain above-standard therapies that help mitigate the effects of their handicaps and help the individuals cope with the disadvantages they face. The guiding principle is to enable the children to live in a home environment, to help ease the burden placed on their families with everyday care, and to provide the children access to education and contact with their surroundings.
